Idell Bell was chosen as Columbus State University’s Stitch Central Cougar of the Week for the week ending on November 13.

Bell had a fabulous opening weekend for the CSU men’s basketball team as the Cougars went 2-0 in the Nova Southeastern Tip-Off Classic. In his first game as a Cougar, the junior made an impact as he played 24 minutes off the bench against Puerto-Rico - Mayaguez. With the game being tied midway through the first half, Bell led CSU to an impressive 13-2 run as he scored five straight points to send the Cougars into the break with a 44-37 lead. For the game, Bell scored 16 points going 4-for-7 from downtown.

The Lakeland, FL native saved his best performance for Saturday night against Nova Southeastern. Coming off the bench once again, Bell sparked the Cougars as he connected on three straight three-point baskets in an impressive 17-1 CSU run. Bell was unconscious shooting the ball for the night as he scored 20 points going 5-for-7 from the floor with all five made baskets being threes.

For the week, Bell averaged 18 points and shot 69.2% (9-for-13) from beyond the arc.

Once again, congratulations to Idell Bell, this week’s Stitch Central Cougar of the Week.
